Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Pre-Op/Post Day Surgery RN. This role delivers direct patient care using the nursing process and coordinates perioperative activities to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• ADN required and Texas RN License active.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire/transfer.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Trauma certification (TNCC/ATLS/TCAR) within 1 year of hire.
• Strong knowledge of airway management and rescue.
• Experience in Pediatric/Adult Phase 1 and Phase 2.
• Familiarity with ASPAN standards and acute care best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process for a defined group of patients across a shift.
• Coordinate perioperative nursing activities and ensure patient safety and comfort.
