Job summary

The Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time RN (0.6 FTE) to join the Pre/Post/PACU team. You will prepare patients for surgery, monitor recovery, administer medications, provide patient education, and participate in postoperative care under physician orders.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in Indiana
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred or as applicable by unit guidelines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection control protocols and safe patient environments.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
