Job summary

The Carriages Bloomington is seeking a dedicated RN/LPN to join our PART TIME team, providing holistic nursing care to residents in memory care. The role involves leading licensed and non-professional staff, and supporting daily resident activities with compassion.

Shifts run 7a-7p or 6a-6p, including weekends. We value sensitivity, independence, confidentiality, and teamwork while delivering quality care in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as licensed nurse.
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with assisted living procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Knowledge of Point Click Care.
• Good Physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.

Responsibilities

• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, etc.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
