Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS, seeks a day shift, full-time Clinical Educator RN for our New Life Center to orient new staff and lead diverse education activities.

The Nurse Educator will drive staff development, coordinate programs, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with leadership. Required are a BSN, KS RN license, and BLS within 14 days of hire; with preferred teaching experience or advanced degrees in Education or Nursing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Orients new staff to the position and department.
• Plans and conducts education activities for staff.
• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally.
• Reports to the Director or designee.
• Oversees orientation and maintains documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates staff education activities and assesses learning needs.
• Provides leadership to encourage teamwork and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Promotes practice changes to improve patient outcomes.
