Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is seeking a day shift, full-time Clinical Educator Registered Nurse for the New Life Center in Topeka, Kansas.

The role focuses on orienting new staff, planning and delivering education activities, and ensuring regulatory and accreditation standards are met. Ideal candidates have a BSN, Kansas RN licensure, and a minimum of 3 years' clinical staff nursing experience, with teaching experience and a master's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing and current Kansas RN licensure.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a clinical staff nurse.
• Master's degree in Education or Nursing preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient new staff to the position and department.
• Plan and conduct education activities for staff.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Report to the Director or designee.
• Coordinate orientation documentation and keep it current.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate staff education to meet competency and accreditation standards.
• Provide leadership to staff to promote teamwork and growth.
• Support performance improvement activities and evidence-based practice.
• Foster growth and development through liaison with management.
• Complete mandatory education and competencies within the year.
