Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. This full-time day shift (7A-7P) position focuses on patient care in the Kahn 3 Step-Down unit, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to monitor and treat patients with injuries, illnesses or disabilities.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and communicating patient status to the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• AS N must complete BSN within five years of start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors for side effects.
• Monitors and records patient symptoms and progress.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with the healthcare team.
• Record patient vital signs and medical information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
