Job summary

MOHR Talent in Newark, NY is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to turn shop prints into finished railing, stair, and steel assemblies on a day shift. Core shift is roughly 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, with optional overtime and hands-on shop duties.

You will read fabrication drawings, lay out material, assemble, weld as needed, and verify dimensions, with strong material handling and crane awareness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on metal or steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to read shop prints and measure accurately.
• Strong layout, fit-up, and assembly skills with limited supervision.
• Ability to weld fabricated assemblies and verify dimensional accuracy.
• Material handling and safe work around cranes and steel components.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate railings, stairs, miscellaneous metals, and related steel assemblies.
• Read fabrication drawings, measure accurately, and lay out material for the job.
• Prepare components, perform fit-up and bending, assemble the product, and weld as needed.
• Check the completed assembly against print dimensions and make corrections.
• Cut, drill, grind, torch, move steel, and support finishing or other production areas as needed.
