Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a QA Technician to perform quality control testing on aggregate materials, collect samples from portable plants, and document results accurately. You will communicate findings to plant and operations teams to support production quality and assist with process improvements based on test data.

The role operates in outdoor, industrial settings with lifting up to 50 pounds and requires adaptability to travel.

What You'll Be Doing


  • Perform quality control testing on aggregate materials to ensure compliance with specifications

  • Collect and analyze samples from portable plant operations

  • Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner

  • Communicate findings with plant and operations teams to support production quality

  • Assist with troubleshooting and process improvements based on test data

Conditions of Employment


  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check


Work Environment


  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.


Physical Demands of the Job


  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of materials and equipment

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing in outdoor and industrial settings

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for sample collection and testing

  • Tolerance for working in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots
