Job summary

The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place, Williamsburg, Virginia, is seeking a Mental Health Registered Nurse for day shift (7am-7pm). This full-time role involves providing nursing care, supervising LPNs/CNAs, and creating individualized care plans in a behavioral health setting.

Requires RN licensure and at least one year of nursing experience; psych health experience and CPR/De-escalation certifications preferred. Onsite facility with strong benefits, tuition assistance, and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience in the clinical area of service preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and behavioral health needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
• Accurately administer medications and ensure patient safety using two identifiers.
• Communicate findings and care plans with the interdisciplinary team; hand off during shifts.
