Job summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern PA in Reading, PA is seeking a Full-time RN for 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) with rotating weekends. NEW GRADS WELCOME; join an 86-bed acute-care psychiatric facility delivering high-quality behavioral health services.

You will lead milieu management, supervise staff, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety and recovery in accordance with Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, evaluation.
• Identify risks and discharge planning, and plan interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Administer medications as prescribed and educate patients on meds.
• Document care and progress accurately and timely in medical records.
• Maintain professional development and licensure.
• Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, including de-escalation as needed.
