Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician Associate to assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies, and to perform quality inspections of components.

Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with the opportunity to contribute to process improvements. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of warehouse experience, and the ability to travel more than 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques.
• Ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures.
• Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform repetitive assembly of trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
• Safely utilize various measuring and inspection instruments
• Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner
• Work with a variety of materials, including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
• Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within department
