Joseph Michaels International in Bluffton, Ohio is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for the Day Shift. Lead a team of up to 15 on the shop floor, with direct interaction with owners and senior leadership to drive timely, quality outcomes.

Role emphasizes a Monday–Friday schedule with minimal weekend work, a growing department recently expanded to add a shift, and a focus on continuous improvement and customer collaboration. Medical, dental, vision benefits and 401K are provided.

Competenze

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of production supervision experience.
• Experience overseeing others in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Experience supervising at least 10 people at a time.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to drive a forklift on an as-needed basis.
• Microsoft Office experience, including basic Excel skills.

Mansioni

• Schedule daily production and monitor shop-floor projects.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly workforce.
• Ensure shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Maintain inventory on-site for scheduled projects and monitor WIP.
• Collaborate with Sales on quoting new business.
• Review shift paperwork and production numbers.
• Communicate project status to customers.
• Enter information into the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Quality on final inspections.
• Foster continuous improvement and reduce scrap (5S, cost savings).
• Occasionally operate a forklift to support floor activity.
• Verify timesheets, vacations, and time off in the timekeeping system.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
