Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a PRN Registered Nurse for the Pre Surgical Screening unit in Boise. Schedule includes at least one 9-hour shift weekly, Monday through Friday, 0800–1730; no weekends or holidays.

You will provide professional nursing care, collaborate with the care team, assess patients, administer meds, educate families, and document care. The role requires an active RN license (Idaho residency within 60 days of hire for multistate licenses) and BLS at hire, with ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
• ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Performs comprehensive assessments and develops plans of care.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintains accurate and complete nursing documentation.
