Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Hospital Plumber to maintain, install, and repair the hospital plumbing distribution system. The role supports safe, reliable operations and requires a current plumber’s license and at least 1 year of plumbing experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent training.
  • Minimum: Current plumber’s license.
  • Minimum: One year plumbing experience.
  • Preferred: Five or more years hospital plumbing experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and document actions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, installation and maintenance of hospital water and drain systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document results to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Diagnose problems using electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic methods and document results.
  • Interact with clinical staff to resolve operational problems.
  • Complete Daily Time Sheet in AIMS to track work orders and maintenance.
  • Determine need for replacement parts and supplies and order as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with outside service organizations when necessary and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain safety precautions to protect patients and staff from hazards.
  • Promote teamwork and seek continual process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
