Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated Perioperative Support Specialist 2 for day-shift work, Monday through Friday, 6:45am–3:15pm, in Fairfax, VA. This role supports OR teams by delivering supplies and assisting with patient care to maintain efficient operating room turnover.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years hospital experience and BLS certification from the American Heart Association to start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of hospital experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association on start.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient transfer and positioning in the operating room and assists with patient preparation.
• Prepares the OR for cases by opening sterile supplies and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Retrieves and delivers supplies and instruments to ORs to minimize nurse time out of the room.
• Gathers instruments and sterile supplies for cases and ensures proper case cart readiness.
• Maintains temperature logs and supports engineering tickets for a safe care environment.
