Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for the MSO - Caring for Women practice in Denton, TX. Full-time, daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will apply fetal and gynecologic ultrasound principles, identify anomalies, operate multiple ultrasound machines, and maintain detailed patient histories while coordinating with obstetric offices and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Ultrasound, required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• A minimum of one-year specialty (OBGYN) Ultrasound Tech / Technician experience required.
• ARDMS, required; RDMS-OBGYN – highly preferred; BLS required; Must be certified in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance with state regulations

Responsibilities

• Applies fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies and gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patient.
• Identifies fetal anomalies such as CNS, facial features, cardiothoracic, abdomen and placental issues; performs ultrasounds on uterus, cervix and ovaries; handles twin/triplet scans with in-office gestation service.
• Makes preliminary, equivocal diagnoses of gynecological and fetal disorders in listed organ systems.
• Operates GE, Accuson, Medison and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency; expands knowledge of latest technology.
• Maintains ultrasound logging records including medical history details.
• Prepares patients for Level I & II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, PUBS, anmio reduction, ECV, and GYN ultrasound.
• Maintains professional relationships with staff and hospitals and alerts physicians to dangerous conditions.
• Uses Biophysical Profiles to assess fetal well-being and reports fetal weight disturbances and anomalies to physicians.
