Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Day shift Per Diem position in Florida. The RN will coordinate patient care using the nursing process, supervise assigned staff, and perform charge duties as assigned within a Florida hospital setting.

Responsibilities include ongoing assessment, medication administration, documentation, and care planning with an interdisciplinary team. Education for patient, family, and staff is also provided throughout hospitalization and at discharge.

Qualifications

• State license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
• PALS must be through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and identifies problems; plans and implements interventions.
• Administers medications per hospital policy and documents actions.
• Maintains accurate patient data with nursing process documentation.
• Coordinates tests, treatments and education with interdisciplinary team.
• Provides patient and family education throughout hospitalization and at discharge.
