Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. The PCT will support daily living activities, maintain a clean environment, and ensure effective communication within the care team.

The role emphasizes assisting with vital signs, mobility, and basic care tasks, while adhering to safety protocols and infection control. 0–2 years' acute care experience or nursing enrollment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Collect vitals and patient data; report to RN/LPN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes and hygiene.
• Aid patient positioning, mobility, and use of walkers or wheelchairs.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose tests; document results.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and follow PPE protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk-management activities.
• Maintain reliable attendance and comply with all policies.
