Job summary

Lovelace Health System is seeking a day shift, full-time Adult Psychiatric Unit Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Albuquerque, NM. You will work under moderate supervision to support patient activities of daily living and assist clinical staff.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood when needed, recording intake/output, and assisting with transport and basic care. Candidates should have a High School Diploma/GED and BLS within 14 days of hire; CNA/PCT or EMT-P certifications are

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred: CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification, including BLS, or currently enrolled in nursing school.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs under supervision of nursing and medical staff.
Observe patients’ progress and relay reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
Obtain and record vitals and collect specimens for lab tests.
Provide basic patient transport and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
Measure and record intake/output and assist with range of motion; assist with blood draws.
