Job summary

ORA Orthopedics in Bettendorf, IA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a clean, safe environment in our ASC.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of CMA coursework, BLS certification (or within 6 months), and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; prior healthcare and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 500/720-hour CMA course required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with heavier lifting up to 300 lbs.
• Standing/walking for most of an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist nursing personnel with patient care activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Contribute to the ASC team and support patient care throughout shifts.
