Job summary

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Department specific competencies will be completed in the applicable department during the orientation process.
• Verification is required of CNA or nursing program course and lab/clinical via transcript or official notice.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal patient care tasks such as mouth care, bed making, baths, perineal care, hair care, shaving, and emptying bedpans/urinals.
• Assists with patient safety: ID bands, fall protocol, restraints, positioning, rest environment, reporting incidents.
• Performs treatments such as catheter care, enemas, sitz baths, compresses, and ambulation assistance.
• May retrieve and transport medications.
