Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking a Day Shift Packager responsible for setting up and operating banding equipment to package materials and prepare shipments. You will work with finished goods and gain exposure to customers and end products.

Responsibilities include prepping skids to specs, operating banding and material handling equipment, and ensuring proper identification and safe handling of loads while maintaining production standards and a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to use measuring tools (tape, micrometer, calipers).
• Must comply with safety rules and certifications as required.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and operating material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate banding equipment to package materials.
• Prepare skids to customer specifications.
• Operate turnstile, down layer, and banding line equipment as needed.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane to move materials.
• Package materials per customer instructions and maintain identification/segregation.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintain production standards.
