Job summary

UPMC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is hiring a temporary, full-time Professional Staff Nurse, OP to join their team at Shadyside. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with hours typically at 7:30am to 4pm but can vary depending on the day. Travel will be required to the Passavant office at most once per week.

This role has no evening or weekend hours. The Professional Staff Nurse plays an important role as a member of the care delivery team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BSN preferred
• CPR certification required based on AHA standards

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians, other providers, patients and families.
• Delivers informed patient care using nursing process and evidence-based practice.
• Documents patient care clearly and coordinates with the care team.
