Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital on the Oncology Unit in Elgin, IL is seeking a dedicated RN to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care within the nursing process, ensuring safety and high quality care. The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, and BLS certification, with chemotherapy certification targeted within one year of hire.

Full-time days with every third weekend commitments and holiday group assignments, offering benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
BSN Preferred
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
All RNs are required to obtain Chemotherapy Administration Certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
