Verde Valley Assisted Living in Cottonwood, AZ is seeking a Day shift Med Tech/Caregiver to support residents with medication administration, charting, and daily care in a residential setting.

You will follow facility policies, document errors or refusals, measure vital signs, and cooperate with staff to maintain high-quality nursing services. Certification as a Caregiver is required; starting pay $18–$20 per hour depending on experience. In-person, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to determine what medication errors occur and how to prevent them.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled and charted.
• Document refusals and reasons for not administering prescribed meds.
• Accurately measure, record, and report residents' vital signs.
• Familiar with medical abbreviations and terms used by facility, pharmacists, and physicians.
• Perform tasks according to policies and supervisees' instructions.
• Cooperate with inter-departmental staff to maintain nursing services.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
