Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day-shift, full-time Medical-Surgical 3C Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Amarillo, TX. You will provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, assist with daily activities, observe patient progress, and record vital signs for reports to the nurse.

Required is completing some high school education, plus BLS within 14 days of hire. Preferred are a high school diploma or GED, completion of PCT competencies, and certification as a PCT or CNA.

Qualifications

• Must have completed some high school education.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
• Preferred: Completion of High School PCT competencies.
• Preferred: Certification as a PCT or CNA.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients’ vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.

Education
