Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

• Recent grads must obtain certification within 60 days; incumbents without certification must obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen referrals.
