Job summary

Avera Spencer Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Spencer Clinic Lab, with a day-shift schedule and rotating weekends. You will collect samples, perform essential tests, and help ensure patient safety and comfort under established standards.

Qualifications

• CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA certifications required on hire per NHA/AMCA/AMT/NCCT rules.
• Related Medical Assistant certifications accepted upon hire.
• Licensure and credentials are essential for the role.

Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, and transport blood and specimens following standards.
• Perform EKG, tympanograms, oximetry, and pulmonary tests as needed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain autoclave records, handle lab reports.
• Coordinate lab orders and communicate with physicians and nursing homes.
