Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England’s Glastonbury Primary Care Practice is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support on the day shift. You will room patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures, and document in the electronic health record.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 6 months of related experience; an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance or national certification is a plus. We offer growth opportunities and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience required.
• Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance or national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms; prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtains pertinent history and records, including chief complaint and allergies; takes vital signs.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results and notes in the chart for physician review.
• Coordinates patient flow with receptionists to ensure timely visits.
• Assists front office with calls, scheduling, and related tasks.
