Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical III unit at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. The role offers a day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), full-time (36 hours/week) with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and IV therapies, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and transitions home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN licensure in state required.
• Active RN licensure in appropriate state is required.
• One year relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adult acute-care patients.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments safely and effectively.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, independence, and safe transitions home.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Participate in initiatives to improve patient experiences, reduce readmissions, and support healthier communities.
• Contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
