Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking a Material Handler for our Oakley, OH warehouse. The role involves moving materials, assisting in production flow, and ensuring quality standards grip production allowances.

You will operate pallet jacks, track inventory, and help maintain a safe, efficient work environment in a fast-paced setting. High school diploma preferred and ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse, industrial work, or material handling role preferred.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Quality Control and inspect incoming materials to ensure finished products meet contract requirements.
• Load, unload, move, and stack materials using manual methods or powered equipment.
• Set up daily workstations and monitor quality control.
• Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy.
• Ensure materials are stored properly to prevent damage or loss.
• Package materials for shipping when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols.
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
• Communicate with supervisors and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
