Job summary

Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Material Handler with sit-down forklift experience for a manufacturing client in a full-time, temp-to-hire role. The position offers a daytime schedule and the opportunity to be hired on by the client company.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, loading/unloading materials, moving items between storage and work areas, and operating a sit-down forklift safely.

Qualifications

• Sit-down forklift experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restrictions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a 10-hour shift
• Ability to work mandatory overtime when needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Dependable attendance and a commitment to workplace safety

Responsibilities

• Reading work orders and following verbal instructions to determine material handling needs
• Loading and unloading materials from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
• Transporting materials from storage locations to designated work areas
• Operating a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
• Counting, weighing, and recording materials moved or handled on weekly inventory cut sheets
• Maintaining organized work areas and following safety procedures
• Performing other duties as assigned
