Job summary

Neapco in Beatrice, Nebraska is seeking a results-driven Material Handler to move materials, receive raw materials, and support production schedules. You will operate fork trucks, follow work instructions, and document locations of parts and inventory.

This 1st shift role requires good math skills, accuracy with numerical records, and the ability to work with supervisors and teams. High school diploma or GED preferred; experience with material handling and safety practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Good math skills and the ability to work accurately with numerical records.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and to schedule time effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude and physical dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials, supplies and products to production operators or within plant or yard.
• Receive raw materials and goods.
• Follow written and oral work instructions to determine materials to be moved and location to which they are to be moved.
• Transport loads using various moving devices and maintain safe operating distances.
• Weigh materials and record information.
• Monitor incoming materials from expedite sheet.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory management.
• Document locations of parts and components and maintain inventory on the shop floor.
• Operate fork trucks safely and maintain proper speeds in plant and warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned and rotate tasks within the work group.
