Job summary

Steel Ceilings, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing/Assembler for our Johnstown, Ohio facility. You will manufacture, assemble and package our ceiling products, perform material handling and machine helper duties, and help maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

Responsibilities include operating equipment after training, maintaining records, and collaborating with teammates to meet quality and production goals.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, assembly, material movement, or machine operator experience preferred.
• Knowledge of metal manufacturing materials, fabrication processes and machinery preferred.
• Ability to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble and package Steel Ceilings products to fulfill customer orders.
• Material handling, crating and machine helper duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow safety policies.
• Operate equipment after training (turrets, brakes, presses, panel benders, etc).
• Attend required training and conform to company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of production and quality checks.
• Assist others as needed.
• Keep equipment properly maintained.
