Job summary

Century Casegoods Plant 1 - Hickory, NC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician responsible for repairing and maintaining facility machinery and utilities. Tasks include diagnosing issues from manuals, disassembling equipment, and ensuring proper components are used.

Primary duties involve cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and operating metalworking tools like lathe and drill press. Must work safely and follow all policies; vocational training is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous maintenance experience required.
Must be able to use equipment manuals and drawings to diagnose and make needed repairs on equipment and systems.
Vocational or trade school training in any maintenance field is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide or assist in the repairs and maintenance of facility machinery and utilities.
Observes equipment in operation and determines the need for repairs.
Disassemble equipment as necessary to allow for proper repairs.
Examines and verifies that new components are acceptable for use on equipment.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control mechanisms to assure proper equipment function.
Cleans, lubricates, and provides preventive maintenance to equipment per factory and company standards.
Operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment to make and repair parts as needed.
