Job summary

Lamb Weston in Hermiston, OR is seeking a Maintenance I for the B/Day shift. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining production equipment, following safety rules, and documenting work.

The position may require emergency repairs and welding tasks as needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Candidate will read blueprints, operate forklifts, and perform routine maintenance across plant areas while supporting CPS programs and training junior mechanics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and troubleshoot equipment in production areas.
• Follow safety programs and keep documentation up to date.
• Read prints/diagrams and perform tasks with supervision as needed.
• Perform routine and emergency repairs and basic welding.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
• Keep a neat work area and log time spent on tasks.
