Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support daily operations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairing machines, electrical work, piping, HVAC and building systems, maintaining records, coordinating with supervisors, and upholding a safe, clean work environment.

Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience in manufacturing/distribution is required; 18+ years old and work

Qualifications

Must have 1+ year of mechanic experience in manufacturing or distribution.
Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment.
Industrial electrical or welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment
Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently
Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts
Order and install replacement parts for machines
Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs
Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted
Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
Maintain documentation as required
Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
Maintain technical knowledge through training
