Job summary

Beasley Forest Products Inc. in Hazlehurst, MS is seeking a dependable Mechanic Level 1 to join our maintenance team on the Day Shift.

This 12-hour shift role focuses on inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance on lumber manufacturing machinery to keep operations running safely. You will assist with repairs, basic welding, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and use a range of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of mechanical, industrial maintenance, or similar hands-on experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery and industrial equipment.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance per established schedules.
• Identify worn or malfunctioning components and replace as needed.
• Assist with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical troubleshooting under supervision.
• Support major repairs, installations, and modifications as directed.
