Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services seeks an LVN to join The Stayton at Museum Way in Fort Worth, TX onsite. You will provide nursing care, implement treatment plans, and support residents with compassion.

This role involves administering injections, monitoring vitals, coordinating with family and physicians, and supervising aides under the direction of the DON. On-site team environment with a commitment to quality and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Must have graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas LVN licensure required.
• High school diploma or GED with some college or vocational studies.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the individual service plan is followed; administer or supervise physician-prescribed treatments.
• Make rounds of residents, document visits on charts with physicians.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing; take and record vital signs.
• Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides in their duties by monitoring work and assigning tasks including activities.
• Collaborate with Activity Director, DON, and Nurse Aides on the activities program.
• Participate in staff meetings with the DON to maintain high performance.
• Receive or place calls to physicians and follow through with orders.

We are seeking an LVN to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As an LVN, you will play an important role in all phases of nursing care that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

• Ensure that the individual service plan in followed; administers or supervises treatments prescribed by physician.
• Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing service plans; make rounds with physicians and records visits on charts.
• Administer all intramuscular, sub-cutaneous injections; perform all in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.
• Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents – specifying break times and special duties to be completed, including activities.
• Work with Activity Director, DON, and Nurse Aides in carrying out the activities program.
• Meet with DON as needed and participate in staff meetings to keep staff performing at optimum level.
• Receive or place calls to physicians and follow through with physician’s orders.

What you'll bring:

• High School diploma or GED plus one to two years of college or vocational school
• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Must hold current Texas licensure as licensed vocational nurse
• Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people.
• Requires bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing over 75% of shift.
