Surgical Associates of Richmond is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time, day-shift role in Virginia. You will manage patient flow, perform intake tasks, obtain vitals, and coordinate tests and referrals under provider direction.

Responsibilities include patient education, charting, and coordination with pharmacies. A state-licensed LPN with hospital or clinic experience is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Screen and prepare patients for exams.
• Instruct patients on sample collection and tests.
• Obtain patient vitals.
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments.
• Manage patient records and chart entries.
• Schedule tests and referrals; obtain pre-authorizations.
• Assist provider with physical exams.
• Notify pharmacy to order prescriptions.
• Monitor inventory and supplies.
• Record health history and note abnormal conditions.
• Triage patients to optimize department flow.
