Job summary

Western Arizona Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Med Surg unit in Bullhead City. You will work under RN supervision providing essential nursing care, administering medications, and supporting care plans.

The role emphasizes patient assessments, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The position requires 0-1 year of LPN experience, AZ licensure (LPN or LVN), and BCLS certification; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of LPN experience in a healthcare setting required.
• LPN or LVN state licensure required; BCLS mandatory; ACLS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, and patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, medication management, and post-discharge care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff or nursing students as assigned.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
