Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If IV therapy is required, North Dakota requires specific IV therapy training.
• Must have completed a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or 400 hours of LPN work experience.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license and maintains required competencies and CEU credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and ensure resident safety.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, and diet.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality with residents, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
