• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics.
• Experience with dementia residents preferred.
• Up to date first aid and CPR certification.
• Current unencumbered LPN license in the state.
• Knowledge of physiology and psychology of older adults.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Administer quality care to meet residents' needs.
• Provide medication administration, handling, and storage.
• Assist with medication pouring, preparation, administration, and documentation per policy.
• Maintain medication cart and storage room in order.
• Ensure accurate medication counts and secure storage areas.
• Comply with policies related to controlled substances and nursing documentation.
• Use nursing judgment to report changes to Wellness Director/physician.
• Observe resident status changes and communicate with Wellness Director.
• Offer emotional and physical comfort to residents.
• Report concerns to Wellness Director/Executive Director as designated.
• Assist with vital signs and weight monitoring and required documentation.
• Assist with move-in/move-out, discharge planning as needed.
• Ensure compliance with American House policies in Resident Services.
