Job summary

The Department of Corrections – Correctional Health is seeking an LPN in Sioux Falls to deliver skilled nursing care in clinic settings during the day shift. The role includes working every sixth weekend (Fri–Sun) and every third holiday, with a $5,000 hiring incentive and full state benefits.

Qualified candidates must hold a South Dakota LPN license and demonstrate strong patient care, confidentiality, and teamwork in a correctional setting. Training and SDRS retirement are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide nursing care in clinic settings.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and administer medications as prescribed.
• Transcribe reports at shift changes and ensure accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to implement treatment plans.
• Maintain safety and security in the clinical environment and assist with emergencies.
