Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Georgia. The LPN works under the physician’s direction, recognizing patient needs and providing care, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and documenting treatments in the medical record.

The position requires graduation from a practical or vocational nursing program, an active LPN license in Georgia, and a current BLS card prior to hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• The LPN functions under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor and Practice Manager.
• Recognizes patient needs and symptoms and provides care under physician direction.
• Assists with patient education and records treatment in medical records.
