Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Union Delivery Driver to safely operate a Graybar truck or van and deliver orders to customers, providing excellent service and collecting feedback. You will load/unload, use forklift/pallet jacks, and maintain truck logs on a local weekday schedule.

This role emphasizes customer relations, safety, and meeting delivery commitments. DOT medical exam and appropriate license are required; CDL not required for this position.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment; pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPE.
• Experience driving a van or truck of 26,000 GVW or less.
• Must have a valid driver's license issued by state of residence.
• Must be able to pass DOT medical exam and CMV certification.

Responsibilities

• Help determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks and use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect vehicle and supplies.
• Safely operate vehicle at all times.
• Maintain proper truck logs.
• Work a local route - no overnights or weekends away.
