Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 5 years hands-on shop experience with hydraulic, electrical, and air systems; heavy equipment, waste/recycling experience preferred.
• License: Driver’s License; CDL preferred.
• Tools: Must provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools.
• Age: 21+ years.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: Lead by example, supervise inspections of machinery and hydraulic systems for safe operation.
• Execution: Assemble/build machines to specifications; mentor junior mechanics.
• Equipment Operation: Use diagnostics, test equipment, and test run repairs.
• Material Handling: Manage parts, tools, lubricants, and fluids safely.
• Reporting & Documentation: Report issues and complete logs and paperwork.
• Professional Communication: Communicate maintenance needs and schedules clearly.
• Compliance & Accountability: Follow policies and complete required reports and safety checks.
• Adaptability & Reliability: Respond to unexpected issues and maintain attendance.
