Sweeping Corporation of America in Houston, TX is seeking a Day Diesel Mechanic Lead on full-time 1st shift to lead the shop, keep fleet safe, and minimize downtime.

You will perform advanced diagnostics, mentor technicians, coordinate daily activities, and work with branch leadership to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a shop with hydraulic/electrical/air systems, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel minimally.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: 5 years in a shop with hydraulic, electrical, and air systems; heavy equipment experience preferred.
License: Driver's license; CDL preferred.
Tools: Must provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools.
Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
Compliance: Pass MVR, background, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Lead safety and perform thorough inspections of machinery, engines, and hydraulic systems.
Perform in-shop and field repairs with focus on reliability and uptime.
Use diagnostics to test equipment and evaluate performance.
Mentor junior mechanics and communicate with operators and supervisors.
Maintain logs and documentation of issues and repairs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
