Siemer Milling Company in Teutopolis, IL is seeking a Day Shift Laboratory Technician to perform lab tests on wheat, flour, bran, reddog, midds and germ, ensuring products meet customer specifications.

This full-time role offers overtime premiums, Sundays double time, and a bonus based on company performance, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401k/ESOP plan. Hours are Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm with rotating weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with the ability to read, write and perform mathematics.
• Must be able to follow instructions outlined in the laboratory testing manual.
• Detail oriented with the ability to report results accurately and track inventory.

Compensation:

Laboratory Technician - Teutopolis, IL

Compensation:

• Wage Range:$19.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience
• PTO available after 7 days.

Responsibilities

To performing various lab tests on wheat, flour, bran, reddog, midds and germ using a prescribed methodology, and to ensure that a wheat quality product is provided for the customer(s) according to their specifications.

Qualifications

• The person must excel in respect, trust, and responsibility, striving for continuous improvement and committed to excellence.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with the ability to read, write and perform mathematics.
• Individual must be able to work independently, able to multitask, basic computer skills and have good communication skills.
• Successful experience in laboratory work in the area of food grade plant is preferred.
• Must have the ability to follow instructions outlined in the laboratory testing manual.
• A quality minded individual who can handle independent working with routine tasks and the ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Detail orientated, must accurately reporting results and track inventory and micros.
• Physical abilities include- able to be on feet for extended periods, utilize stairs and lift 50lb bags on occasion.
• Additional educational opportunities and training will be provided.
• Must be able and willing to work multiple, rotating shifts.

Hours

Monday – Friday 7:30am-4:00pm with rotating weekend shifts and overtime as needed
