Job summary

Diversified Maintenance in Milwaukee, WI is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preserve facilities for client sites. The role requires flexibility within assigned buildings and adherence to client specifications.

Compensation starts at $14 per hour with a 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday–Friday schedule totaling about 35 hours per week. Both full-time and part-time positions are available; on-site work and training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 6+ months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans and use of a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpacks, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs.
